Matteo Stefanini

Matteo Stefanini, PhD

AI Speaker, Project Manager, Event Organizer, Executive Director.
In reality: solo traveler, avid student, coach and wannabe entrepreneur.

What I do

AIDEA Academy: training, courses and workshops in Artificial Intelligence in companies. I take care of the strategy and educational plans for the Academy. I also speak at events and conferences. I enjoy doing ad-hoc AI workshops and technology transfer.

I hold courses or seminars of all levels for professionals and companies not only in Artificial Intelligence but also on training topics in technology and digital.

In my PhD I covered various technological fields, Generative AI, LLMs, Vision and Language and Genomics, publishing in top conferences and international journals. (Google Scholar)

Some of the most important events and conferences that I organize:

Biomedical valley: main Italian conferences in the Medtech & Healthcare field, held in the largest biomedical district in Europe.

TEDx Forte dei Marmi: the only TEDx event held on the sea, on an exclusive beach, focused on yachting, design, lifestyle and tourism, highlighting technology and sustainability.

TEDxMirandola: TEDx event with one of the largest communities in Italy, focused on life, science, culture and health.

I continue to study and apply Generative AI to the biomedical sector, supporting and founding startups in the medtech field.

I undertook a Post-Doc at Unimore, managing projects, third mission and technology transfer between companies and universities. In my PhD I studied and created Deep Learning models with Transformer, with a focus on Generative AI, Vision & Language and Genomics.

I have published in Top International Conferences & Journals of AI: Google Scholar.

I love finding connections between valuable people, businesses, universities, to create new collaborations, especially between different fields, with weak ties, because that’s where the radical innovation lies.

Quality networking is the best form of earnings, not only financially but also emotionally and socially.

Academic path

Briefly

I always felt out of place. I like learning and connecting different ideas and sectors. My greatest passions are science and entrepreneurship.

I talk about Artificial Intelligence, Innovation and Communication at events and in companies.

I organize conferences, coordinating Biomedical valley and TEDx events, in Mirandola and in the most exclusive and luxury Italian location on the beach: Forte dei Marmi.

I collaborate with Unimore on AI projects and with Clust-ER Health in the Medtech sector.

In my PhD in Artificial Intelligence I worked on Deep Learning for Generative AI, Vision & Language and Genomics. I was among the firsts to believe in Transformer models.

I’m secretly training to become ambassador and wizard of remote working.

How can I help you

Valuable events

Exceptional communities where I can help place you:

Biomedical valley: one of the most important Italian conferences in the MedTech & Healthcare field, in the largest biomedical district in Europe.

TEDx Forte dei Marmi: the only TEDx event in Italy (perhaps in the world) held on an exclusive beach, focused on sustainability, fashion, sailing, tourism and technology.

TEDxMirandola: TEDx event with one of the largest communities in Italy, focused on life, science, culture and health.

Speaker in AI and Innovation

I speak in public and train in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation in companies. I speak at events and conferences. I enjoy doing AI strategies and technology transfer.

I hold courses or seminars of all levels for professionals and businesses not only in Artificial Intelligence but also in technology and digital in general.

During my PhD I covered numerous technological fields, Generative AI, LLMs, Vision and Language and Genomics, publishing in top international conferences and journals. (Link)

Research, university, companies and startups

I connect companies, universities and valuabe people to create new collaborations, especially between different fields, with weak ties, where many innovations are hidden.

I collaborate with Unimore on artificial intelligence projects, third mission, and with the Clust-ER Health of the Emilia-Romagna region in the Medtech sector, to promote open innovation.

Training and courses

Learning to learn is the only way to create and defend a sustainable competitive advantage. I create specific training courses for companies and research institutions with the aim of stimulating life-long learning.

Artificial Intelligence will not replace man, but the man who uses AI will replace the one who doesn’t.

Tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Sora, Midjourney, AlphaFold, have already revolutionized the world. Knowing the trends and potential of AI can help any business find new growth opportunities.
